The new year is bringing some great energy and creativity. A lot has been going on and Daniel has been working on a lot of writing. We are working on booking some great shows in the next few months and new tour dates will be posted soon. We are also pleased to announce that we are finally in the production stage with music videos for songs from our album Music for Interior Castles! In fact… we have one already completed.
Therefore… we would like to present our music video for I Greet The Nothing. It was produced and directed by Jessibat of Alter Ego Art Co. It was shot on site at beautiful and historic Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia on an unseasonably warm day and the bright, overcast skies set the perfect mood. We had a great time making the video; we hope you enjoy watching it. Happy New Year to all!
TivaTiva will be performing at a benefit show for Women Against Abuse. It is being organized by our favorite drummer Darren Keith… you know, that guy who kicked all of our asses on Music for Interior Castles. There will be a silent auction featuring items from some of the area’s very best Restaurants, Spas, Boutiques, etc. and a raffle too. Our friends Last Full Measure and Kai Botak will also be performing. I really believe in this organization that works to help victims of domestic violence and the families that are affected by them, so if you are in the area please come join us at this great show for a worthy cause.
admission is $20.00 (at the door) and includes food by some of our favorite restaurants on the Main Line.

Hello friends and family. We have been very busy working on pre production for some super cool, make your head explode music videos. I only wish now we could start pre production on my idea for a synchronized swimming show. I have a beautiful sequined bathing suit I am dying to show off!
We would like to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year!
We are so thankful to everyone who helped make Music For Interior Castles a reality, and to everyone who purchased the album and came to our shows. We look forward to touring and releasing new music in the next year. Cheers!
and of course, Merry Festivus!
After hours of troubleshooting, the interface for my keyboard refused to work. Everything that came out of it was a garbled mess. Ted was having more luck with his guitar rig. It sounded great to me, but he still wasn’t quite pleased with it. Darren was at home, quite ill, and by the time Daniel arrived, the last thing we wanted to do was practice.
Performances are supposed to seem effortless, yet anyone who has ever performed knows they are anything but. I wished that TivaTiva was a plug-and-play punk band.
I forgot how I got here in the first place. I came to Cedar Street Studios to have some of my own songs mixed and mastered. My plan was to go to grad school for jazz performance. I ended up meeting some of the best musicians in the area and starting my own creative music career.
There will be other headaches, but in the end, the CD release show will be great, and Music for Interior Castles will be loved by many listeners. Putting everything together is never easy, but the challenges make sharing this incredible music even more rewarding.
We would like to thank everyone who has sent us messages about how much they have been enjoying our new album. Your words are especially encouraging because this recording took so much blood, sweat, and tears for us to create. Personally, I know that this was so much harder for me than anything I have ever done before.
We are really looking forward to celebrating our CD release with a huge party on December 17 at Milkboy Philly. As some of you may know, we have been performing as a duo recently. This show will be a full-band performance and it is going to be great to have the whole band on stage together again. We will have lots of great stuff for sale at the show, but if you can’t make it out to Philadelphia on the 17th don’t worry because it will all be made available at our online store as well. Click HERE to go to the facebook event page for the show.
If you didn’t catch Daniel and Darren when they played as a duo with Rasputina at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia on November 30th don’t fret. You can check out some great photos of the show taken by Dante Torrieri at blowthescene.com.
You can catch another duo performance at The North Star Bar TONIGHT, Saturday the 19th of November. Click here to go to the Facebook event for this show. TivaTiva music and merch will be available for purchase, and Daniel, Darren, Ted and Brendan will be hanging out the whole night so come out have some fun with the band.
AND… Mark your calendars now for TivaTiva’s debut full-band performance and CD release party on Saturday, December 17th at Milkboy Philly with Josh Schurr and our friends Lost In Company.
We are excited to announce that Music for Interior Castles is now available for sale online! It is available as both a physical CD in letter pressed, 100% recycled packaging, or via download with hi-res files of the CD art and insert. To purchase Music for Interior Castles in either format visit the Cedar Street Store.
